ABOUT OPSYS

 

Opsys Deco is the brainchild of Belgian artist and director Jesse Agten. He started working with lycra installations in 2012. That's when Jesse discovered the possibilities of stretching fabric, using colours, surfaces and volumes. Bending, folding and structuring them into a whole range of installations, from tunnels to domes and cocoons.
 

These installations are a quest for symmetry and fluid motions, using ancient geometric patterns and adapting these into new organic shapes. By making them interact with light, projections and videomapping, the shapes come to life at night. Slowly pulsing, vibrantly radiating or telling magical stories.
 

Jesse is incisively inspired by new patterns, structures, locations and landscapes. Constantly developing his skills and finding new ways to interact with materials and environments.
